The Kardashian sisters are adding to their wide beauty repertoire by becoming the face of the new PerfectSkinTM line. PerfectSkin announced today that Kim, Khloe and Kourtney will be promoting their three-step skin care line.
The new product will launch in the spring. It’s said that the PerfectSkin products will meet the needs of all women despite their different skin types. No more information has been released on how the skin care products work yet.
In a press release for PerfectSkin Kim Kardashian said, “I have literally tried everything out there and nothing even comes close to PerfectSkin… It’s easier and more effective than anything else I’ve tried, and they are the only skin care products I use.”
There has been no word yet on if the Kardashian’s are involved in development. This may be the skin care line we hear rumours of here. The Kardashians will appear in infomercials and on the PerfectSkin website.
This new skin care line is added to their growing beauty resume. Kim Kardashian recently launched her own signature fragrance and the Kardashian sisters are the face of Idol White Teeth Whitening Pens.

Real Style Beauty told you here that Dysport, the new alternative to Botox, was coming to North America. Dysport has finally arrived in your doctor’s office. Americans can take the Dysport Challenge to test out the new beauty product.
Medicis, the company that sells Dysport in the US, is offering $75 back if you don’t love the effects of Dysport after 14 days. If you don’t love the outcome of this wrinkle-reducing product after one injection they will give you the money back. If you do love it, they will give you $75 towards your next injection.
Dysport is the new alternative to Botox on the market in North America for the first time. Dysport improves the look of wrinkle lines by stopping the signal from the nerves to the muscles. Without the contraction of the muscles, wrinkles can’t occur.
Experts say that Dysport shows results faster and lasts longer than Botox, but the two products are very similar and have similar side effects.

We all know that champagne is a nice colour for beauty products, but a recent study has found that using champagne as an ingredient in beauty products is good for you.
The study found that the grape seed extract in champagne is a powerful antioxidant, which is actually better than vitamin C and vitamin E. The Los Angeles Times reports that grape seed extract in your beauty products will protect your skin’s collagen and elastin. Using beauty products with grape seed extract will help with the signs of aging including skin’s health, elasticity and flexibility.
You can find anything you could imagine with grade seed extract at The Grapeseed Company. They carry everything, including body scrubs, soaps, lip balm and men’s skin care product all made from grape seed extract. All of their ingredients are by products from the wine making process.

In today’s beauty news, according to the Vancouver Sun, Canadians are putting their money where their mouths are. The cosmetic market for lip enhancement is growing at a fast rate in Canada with more and more women and men seeking ways to enhance their pout.
In just five years, the lip moisturizer market has grown by nearly 40 per cent, while medical lip procedures are gaining in popularity among men and women alike. Procedures like upper-lip hair removal, permanent lip colour and lip products designed to plump and enhance are also on the rise.
Maureen Greenstein, a Toronto makeup artist, spoke with the Vancouver Sun and said that although injectable fillers and lasers for lines around the mouth can cost upward of $1,000, and require repeat visits, she believes the home teeth-whitening craze acted as a kind of gateway drug for many Canadians. “That was when everybody started becoming more conscious of their lips,” she explains. “Some of these products really give you back what nature has taken away — without making you look like a duck.”
Dr. Jaggi Rao, associate clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Alberta, says there are even lip procedures now that can make a person appear more approachable. “People are becoming more knowledgeable that this is available, whereas before, they thought: ‘There’s nothing I can do. This is just the way I look.’”

Morpho-Slim, an anti-cellulite product that has been available only in Quebec, is now going to be sold across Canada for all women to try. Morpho-slim is an alcohol free gel that you knead into problem areas to reduce the appearance of cellulite and restore the firmness of your skin.

In today’s beauty news, mega-retailer H&M is launching their own line of affordable skin care products.
The seven piece collection will feature body lotion, body scrub, lip balm, hand cream, shower lotion, a toilet bag and makeup bag. The new skin care line is also certified by Ecocert, the largest certification body for organic and natural cosmetics and will contain ingredients like sunflower seed oil, almond seed oil and jojoba. The line will come in three distinct scents; raspberry, melon and lavender mint.
“It felt like a natural step, since we’ve worked with organic cotton garments for a few seasons now. There’s also a strong demand from our customers for organics, and I hope they will be as excited as I am about the new products,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design.
Expect to see the new H&M skin care collection in stores in early March 2010.

Tennis star Serena Williams has announced on her blog that she is enrolled in a program to become a certified nail technician. Yes, a nail technician. Serena wrote, “No one likes getting their nails done more than I do. As a matter of fact I go every 4 days to get a manicure and every 7 days for a pedicure.”
Victoria Beckham recently revealed her skin care must-have. It’s Perfekt Skin Perfection Gel. The Perfekt brand is a favourite of many stars in their 30’s and 40’s. Perfekt Skin Perfection Gel is a lightweight gel that evens out skin tone and conceals blemishes.

In today’s beauty news, Allure recently broke news that the drugstore brand Olay Professional Pro-X was confirmed to be just as effective as more expensive prescription strength anti-aging creams.
A study published in the British Journal of Dermatology, showed that in a clinical trial, the Olay Professional Pro-X system improved the appearance of fine lines as well as a cream that contained tretinoin, the active ingredient in Renova, a leading prescription anti-aging cream. In fact, more than half of the women who were using the Olay system were judged to look better than those using the prescription regimen.
It’s nice to know that the drugstore beauty brands can be just as effective as more expensive treatments. For women who need an anti-aging cream, it makes sense to try the Olay Professional Pro-X first before going the prescription route.

Following in the steps of other actors like Mathew McConaughey and Antonio Banderas, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has signed a beauty deal with Hugo Boss. He will be the newest face of their men’s fragrances.
