We Are The World To Debut At Olympics
Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010Since news broke that every big name singer around would be collaborating on a remake of We Are The World for Haiti, people have been searching to find out who will sing the song. It’s been announced that the song will debut at the Vancouver Olympics Opening Ceremonies on February 12th.
Wyclef Jean, Celine Dion, Pink, Natalie Cole and many, many more got together on Monday to re-record We Are The World. The talent spanned from music legends (Barbra Streisand) to new artists (Justin Bieber) to those that aren’t even actually singers (Vince Vaughn and Nicole Richie). We will all have to wait until next week to hear the song for the first time and see how they did.
If you can’t wait that long, Simon Cowell’s slightly less star studded charity remake of “Everybody Hurts” goes on sale on February 7th. The song was released to radio yesterday. If you are a fan of the original version, you will be pleasantly surprised at how it sounds.
Hear “Everybody Hurts” featuring Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis and more here:
